Clip #12 and #12a - Podcaster turns the camera on Big Media

Got a call to do a spot for the San Diego NBC Affiliate. So I filmed on the way to work and then filmed them after the interview. It was funny turning the camera on the news guy. The turning the camera was a short piece...

They were great. It was a fun interview.

Clip #11 Dashboard Confession

Clip #11 MPEG

After much frustration and reflection I have resorted to using a real video tool for a videoblog entry. In the clip I make two confessions/realization. One about the tools I have been using and two the theme of what I am trying to capture. And I look bad as I am on the way to the gym.

After getting this clip up I had some problems with Quicktime so I will have to figure that out later.

NYC to SAN Mashup

NYC to SAN Mashup Quicktime

Editing experiment with Quicktime editing using P910 clips from before and after my flight home last week. I also layered in audio from a taxi ride I recorded on my phone and some backing drums. It feels like a long flight home at the end of a long week.

NYC to SAN Background

I have come to the realization that my P910 phone, camera, wondertoy has it's limits. I have played around a ton with trying to extract the video and drop it into Pinnacle or something else all with really bad results. I broke down and tried to figure out how to do some editing with Quicktime which is limited but kind of clever.

So as for advanced edited clips, thats going to have to be done with a real camera and real editing software. I am sure there will be moments where that might be worth it, I am just not sure how often though. The cool thing about the phone is the impromptu nature of it and the compactness. The bad thing is the video really sucks. I have an email out to Packet Video to see if there is an up sampler.
